what's our record from the past
something to chain us down
or a reason to belive in
make us want to turn it all around
doubts from those around us
suspicion in there eyes
they seem to question all we do
making up their own reasons and whys
they want to hold against us
the moves we made that were wrong
not ever thinking to forgive
having us pay the price... way to long
come from out beneath this
don't let them hold you down
for it's not for them to forgive
when you give yourself to Jesus...
the one wore the crown
give your heart without restrain
lay your hands upon the task
giving all for those in need
not caring if it's "why ?"; they ask
for of the heart and love for all
is the reason that we be
doing for our fellow man
should be in us what others see
so brush back the stares
the doubt of lonely souls
lay before them charity and love
a reason to behold
the love of Christ that's in us
the faith we hold in Him
a way that they can find the love
we greatfully hold deep within.
