...it doesn't have to be... "it's your choice"
i've lived a life.. at times so much alone... not so different than yours... but still my own
my mind in places most wouldn't go though not so far gone that you wouldn't know
i've traveled some... while mostly in my dreams i see more places that way at least that's how it seems
sometimes i've taken the high one and at times it was the low but no matter which i picked it was always the hardest road
i'm not saying all was bad... that would be a lie, but when i think back so many times i should have died.
waking up still in one piece led me to think... just who's looking after me as i took stupidity to the brink
as if hiding my soul in that cleft of a rock giving shelter from harm time to rethink and stop
to hear a message that would give me life teach me of love and salvation feel my worth, know God's might
the message of Christ Jesus being his name the Son of God though both be the same
how He died on the cross shed the blood that washed our sin not just for me, but all the lost as He rose from that grave, so a new life can begin
for those who believe and call on His name it's a life forgiven forever changed.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
